Presentation

The Workshop on Distributed Software Development (WDDS) constitutes a discussion forum that gathers researchers, students and practitioners for presenting and discussing problems and solutions related to Distributed Software Development (DSD) techniques, methods, tools, environments and processes. Therefore, WDDS will be a workshop about theoretical fundaments and practical experiences of adopting DSD in academic and industrial projects.

State of the art and state of the practice advances are expected for the exchange of contributions, opinions and debates. Thus, WDDS 2007 has the purpose of generating knowledge and exchanging experiences in DSD. In the context of the workshop, DSD spans organizations, countries, time zones and even continents.

In its first edition, WDDS is being organized as a co-located event of the 21st Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering (http://www.sbbd-sbes2007.ufpb.br),  which is annually sponsored by the Computer Brazilian Society (SBC) and gathers researchers, students and practitioners from Brazil and abroad, who present and discuss topics related to the state of the art in Software Engineering.

In 2007, WDDS is being organized by the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and will happen in the beautiful, clean, peaceful and historic city of João Pessoa.
